Discovering Mumbai Post Midnight

Mumbai is a city never sleeps. Bars, restaurants and public places are full of life even post midnight. So where should you head to get a slice of Mumbai’s exotic night life?

On weekends, you will find most pubs operating till 2 or 3 pm in the night. So, if you want to unwind with your friends over some draft or lager beer, or some fancy cocktails, head to one of the many pubs and bars like Shiro, Tote on the Turf, Glocal Junction, Hawaiian Shack, Copa and Hard Rock Cafe.

Hungry at midnight? It will be a shame to not eat at one of the numerous joints that keep their shutters up to feed their hungry patrons post midnight. You can always head to popular 5-star hotel coffee shops namely Shamiana, Trattoria, Vista, Lotus Cafe, The Glasshouse that stay open 24 hours. Or, if you don’t mind standing on the streetside and grabbing a grub, then try out Bademiya at Colaba, Ayub’s at Fort, Bachelorr’s at Marine Drive, Zaffran at Crawford Market, and Amar Juice Center at Vile Parle and Marine Drive.

Juhu beach never looks more inviting than when the dusk sets in. The bright lights and the tantalizing aromas wafting from the pav bhaji and biryani stalls are just too much to be ignored. Take a stroll on the beach, get yourself photographed, indulge in spice-infused pav bhaji or mouthwatering pani puri, and cool down with colourful iced gola or sugarcane juice. And, sit down on the cool sands and gaze at the blue black horizon.

Still not ready to head back home…you don’t have to! Drive down to Marine Drive and grab a spot to sit or sprawl. Sip on a cutting chai or coffee. Feel the pleasant breeze and listen to waves crashing against the rocks.

And enjoy Mumbai at midnight without the jostling crowds and honking cars!!
